The problem with introspection is it has no end

It’s been a couple of weeks since I’ve done one of Berry SIngh’s Monday Memes and for this week she has done a pretty easy one. The task – should we choose to complete it – was to complete a series of “I” statements with whatever came to mind first. You can see Berry’s post here, along with a link to a text version of the statements for easy completion.

It’s More than Love at First Sight, I Want a Sunday Kind of Love

…  I do my Sunday dreaming, oh yeah
And all my Sunday scheming
Every minute, every hour, every day
Oh, I’m hoping to discover
A certain kind of lover
Who will show me the way…

I want a Sunday kind of love, oh yeah
Sunday, Sunday, Sunday kind of love

There is No Love Sincerer Than the Love of Food

I love food in SL. The little food items that stores make and sets you can buy in gachas (and out) are some of the first things I snatch up when I start my buying sprees. Right now Atelier Kreslo has a Farewell Bake Sale going on  and there are a bunch of yummy little treats to enjoy. The event runs through February 13th so you have some time to go pick up some of the things in these pics yourself.

For this post I used the items I picked up at the Farewell Bake Sale as well as other things that I’ve picked up at Atelier Kreslo here and there (like the Donut Festival) and filled it in with other stuff I had stashed away in my closet. All in all, it turned out to be a little tucked away bakery / coffee shop that I would love to just hang around in myself.  [NOTE: This post is a tad pic heavy.]

Love is What’s in the Room With You at Christmas if You Stop Opening Presents and Listen

…Merry Christmas, darling
We’re apart, that’s true
But I can dream and in my dreams
I’m Christmas-ing with you…

My family has had the tradition of having Chinese food for Christmas Eve dinner for over 40 years. So when I saw the Not So X-mas Dinner that Le Primtif had in their gacha machine at The Arcade I knew it was a must have set for me. Lucky for me the machine was very nice to me and all I had to get on my own through trading was the fried rice. After all, what’s Chinese food without the fried rice?

And When It’s Christmas I Believe in Santa Claus

I believe that dreams come true,
If you wish for a dream by a wishing well,
Don’t tell your wish or you’ll break the spell,
It may sound naive, but that’s what I believe…

This time of year always seems to be so busy – shopping, planning, parties… when I finally get a chance to sit and relax it’s usually sitting on my comfy couch with a fuzzy red blanket and only the lights of the Christmas tree on and either a book or the remote for the TV in my hand. And that’s only for as long as I can stay awake.

Madness takes its toll. Please have exact change.

People who know me know that I am quite the gacha nut. (I think I’ve mentioned it a time or two here is my blog too. lol) And as a gacha nut, one of my absolute favorite events is going on now. The ARCADE! \o/ I am lucky enough to have an awesome best friend who understands my obsessive gacha habit who bought me an early access pass as an early Christmas present. So I got to head in for four hours with 19 others to play with the machines before the mad dash of crazy that happens as the clock struck midnight on December 1st. There’s always a bunch of stuff at the Arcade that I end up wanting and this round has A TON of stuff I want. You can see the shopping guide here. And being as it is coming up Christmas time we get the added bonus of presents! You can see some of the presents from participating creators here. They are all placed under the tree in the center of the boardwalk building.
