I am not a gamer. My hand / eye coordination when it comes to video games… to say it’s “poor” – hello understatement. My style is button mash until death. 😀 Puzzle games? Now I could do those all night. And have been known to. Frequently and repeatedly. Now this game room that doubles as a mini home theater, that’s totally my style. Hate This has made this game room set for Geeks ‘n’ Nerds that I pulled out of the boxes as soon as I saw the ad. And then proceeded to geek out over all the movie titles SL-ized style.
Summertime is definitely here. The sun stays up longer, the heat is creeping in, tourists are taking over… and getting away from it all sounds like a great idea. When I was young, we camped every summer. Sometimes it would be at Girl Scout camp (yes, I was a girl scout) and other times it would be with my family at campsites all up and down the California coast.
It’s been a busy week so this is just a quick post with some more goodies from the Shiny Shabby event. There was a lot of cuteness to be had and I can tell that this is going to be one of my favorite events to look forward to!
There’s a new event kicking off this Friday (February 20th) called Shinny Shabby and it looks like it’s going to be awesome. It’s a “flea market for new and weathered things” as described on the event website. And from the preview pics I’ve seen on Flickr, it looks like I will be buying the place out.
This is Keke’s offering for the event and it is super cute and lovely. Themed after the story of The Princess and the Pea, Kean has made an adorable bedroom set. Just take a look:
One minute to midnight
One minute to go
One minute to say good-bye
Before we say hello
Let’s start the new year right
Twelve o’clock tonight
When they dim the light
Kissing the old year out
Kissing the new year in
This month’s Uber theme is macabre. I’m not sure what it says about me that the first idea I had for a picture after shopping there was a scene of me standing over a dead body, but there you have it. For Halloween this year I had a friend host a murder mystery night/scavenger hunt and I helped with writing some of the trickier clues and story line. Maybe that’s where the inspiration for this picture came from? Because I swear I have no true homicidal urges or tendencies. Anyways…
