This time of year, while being my favorite season (Fall), drives me crazy. Having the sun set before 5-5:30 PM in the evening sets my internal clock all kinds of out of whack. With the countdown to Thanksgiving here in the states at a little over a week and a half left, I’ve been searching through recipes by the dozens – looking for something unique to try this year. It’s a little thing my friends and I do each year, have a little Turkey Day cook off. This year – I intend to win. 🙂
Fantasy Gacha Carnival is almost here and let me tell you, are there some truly beautiful and fantastic things coming your way. SO. MANY. SHINY. THINGS. The theme for this round is Silver, Gold – Angels and the Dark Side of the Moon. For my first FGC post I nabbed this set from FDD Stories. I put in on and felt like a fantasy version of Wonder Woman. Funnily enough, a friend of mine said the same in voice to me as I was thinking it when I put this on. 😀
It’s almost that time. Halloween is near, and the time change too. And then it’s a mad dash to New Year’s with the holidays in between now and then, and their unique way bringing the crazy out in everyone. Whether they celebrate them or not. But first… you still have time for Geeks’n’Nerds and all the nostalgic, geek-ish, nerd fun. I raided my stash of goodies that the creators we so gracious to share (Thank you!) and made a nerd “clubhouse”, of sorts.
At this moment I am listening to my friend drunkenly sing along to whatever song catches her attention on YouTube. Sometimes I can tell what songs they are… and sometimes not. This is a common occurrence when she drinks. All through her musical adventures, I am either trying to muffle my laughter or giving up the fight and bust out laughing. What I am supposed to be doing is writing this post though.
Today is the first day of Autumn. (For those of us in the Northern Hemisphere anyways.) There were several times that I thought about starting up my blogging again and as this day approached I thought – why not? Autumn is my favorite season of all, though I usually refer to it as “Fall”. (And no, the rhyme there was not intentional.)
Summertime is definitely here. The sun stays up longer, the heat is creeping in, tourists are taking over… and getting away from it all sounds like a great idea. When I was young, we camped every summer. Sometimes it would be at Girl Scout camp (yes, I was a girl scout) and other times it would be with my family at campsites all up and down the California coast.
