“When in doubt, go for the dick joke.”

Remembering Robin

Have you ever been asked that dinner party question? You know the one – if you could have any 10 people come to your house for a dinner party, who would you invite?

Robin Williams was one of those unique individuals that seemed to be able to conquer anything, play any role, and do it all while making people laugh. I can’t pick just a single role he played that I could say is my absolute favorite. He played so many memorable characters – from an alien from another planet (Mork & Mindy) to a cross-dressing nanny intent on spending as much time with his children as possible (Mrs. Doubtfire). From a psychologist helping a troubled genius (Good Will Hunting) to a comedic, wish granting cartoon genie (Aladdin), and so many, many more.

It has been two weeks since the world lost this unique and comedically brilliant man. It is a loss that those who loved him will feel for a long, long time. There will always be a place setting at my dinner party for this man. Rest in peace Mr. Williams. Rest assured, you will be missed.
